Elina brings a diverse and impressive background to the PetCareVet family, combining her expertise in both the scientific and business worlds with her love for animals. Elina holds Graduate degrees in Chemistry and Law from Russia, along with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting from Chisholm.
Elina is also a certified Pet Trainer through K9Coach and holds a Cert IV in Pet Grooming, making her an invaluable resource for providing hands-on care and training to our clients’ pets. Her passion for animals and extensive skill set allow her to connect with both pets and owners, making sure everyone feels welcome and confident in the care their pets receive.
Elina’s commitment to compassionate care, attention to detail, and broad skillset makes her a vital part of the PetCareVet family. Bonnie – Trainee Veterinary Nurse & Dedicated Pet Care Enthusiast
Bonnie is an energetic and passionate Trainee Veterinary Nurse who has already made a significant impact at PetCareVet. After finishing school, Bonnie completed her Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing, and she is currently furthering her education by enrolling in Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which equips her with even more advanced knowledge and skills in caring for all types of pets.
Bonnie’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the clinic. She is a competitive-level athlete in Calisthenics and has achieved advanced training in Tae Kwon Do, demonstrating her determination, discipline, and strong work ethic in every aspect of her life. Her background in competitive sports and martial arts has shaped her into a focused and hardworking individual, qualities that make her an invaluable asset to our veterinary team.

When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Govender enjoys hiking with his rescue dog, Bella, and volunteering at local animal shelters. Your pet is in great hands with him!

Bonnie Mayers is a skilled veterinary assistant with a passion for helping pets recover and thrive. With over 2 years of experience in complex surgical procedures, she is dedicated to providing the highest level of care. Bonnie is known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to safety, ensuring that every surgery is performed with precision. She believes in a holistic approach, considering both the physical and emotional needs of pets during recovery. Outside of work, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her two dogs Luna and Bella and is an avid runner. Your pet’s health and comfort are her top priorities!

Elina is a dedicated pet stylist with a heart for animals. With over 15 years of experience, she plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care at PetCareVet. Elina is skilled in assisting with surgeries, managing patient recovery, and conducting routine health checks. She is known for her nurturing demeanour, putting pets at ease during their visits. Elina believes that education is key, and she loves sharing tips with pet owners about pet grooming, preventative care and wellness. When she’s not at the clinic, Elina enjoys crafting and spending time with her Poodle, Asiya. She is passionate about making every pet’s experience as positive as possible!

Veterinary Nursing Student
Kim is our trainee Veterinary Nurse and PetCare Advocate, dedicated to ensuring your petʼs oral health is top-notch. Kim is passionate about dental cleanings, and preventative care. Kim understands that dental health is crucial for overall well-being, and she takes the time to educate pet parents about the importance of oral hygiene. Her gentle approach makes even the most nervous pets feel comfortable during their visits. Outside of work, Kim enjoys reading and exploring new hiking trails with her Beagle, Daisy.
